About

Amy Lovetus is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and collaborator whose musical life weaves together classical training, community-driven projects, and cross-genre experimentation. Based in the Bay Area, Amy performs on violin and vocals with ensembles ranging from orchestras and theater companies to recording studios, rock bands, and improvisational collectives.

Amy’s current creative homes include The Forgetmenauts (violin, vocals) and Ardea Ensemble (voice) where they weave folklore and folk music traditions with a modern, punk, queer aesthetic. A founding member of the Awesöme Orchestra Collective and current Violin Ambassador, Amy contributes to live performances, orchestral readings, and a wide array of studio projects across genres. She has recorded for albums by La Doña, Adrienne Shamszad, and multiple UnderCover Presents reimagined tributes at studios across the Bay Area.

Beyond the studio, Amy performs on violin with Korsa Musical Theater for full-orchestra productions of classic shows like Oklahoma! and The Music Man. Their versatility also extends into rock music: they performed with Renegade Orchestra and joined Classic Albums Live for the Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers. Amy also sang with Free Key Choir and contributes to community-centered creative projects with composition, arrangement, and librarian services as well.

Across every project, Amy brings openness, curiosity, and a deep love of collaborative music-making. Whether in the studio, on stage, or in community spaces, they are committed to creating immersive, joyful, and connective musical experiences.
